A commonly heard statement mid-way through a series of meetings is . . ."These chalk drawings are awesome but the messages you give before you draw are even more powerful."  Alan Bartlett, a Missouri pastor states, "His teaching alone without the chalk art would be very good for any church." 

Another Pastor from Plainfield, Iowa adds, "I just assumed Randy's ministry was 25% Bible teaching and 75% chalk artistry, but in reality it's just the exact opposite."  Uplifting Christian music is also an important part of each presentation.  Randy's wife Shirley provides some solo work when she is able to accompany him, plus a specially designed soundtrack of Gospel music plays as a background to Randy's drawings.  The second most common misconception is people often assume chalk art is strictly for children.  Children and young people do enjoy this ministry and are often captivated by it.  However, DCM is primarily geared to adults and/or the entire congregation as a whole.  It's a great experience for the entire family!
